Demand-Side Peer-to-Peer Energy Trading

?Demand-Side Peer-to-Peer Energy Trading provides a comprehensive study of the latest developments in technology, protocols, implementation, and application of peer-to-peer and transactive energy concepts in energy systems and their role in worldwide energy evolution and decarbonization efforts. It presents practical aspects and approaches with evidence from applications to real-world energy systems through in-depth technical discussions, use cases, and examples. This multidisciplinary reference is suitable for researchers and industry stakeholders who focus on the field of energy systems and energy economics, as well as researchers and developers from different branches of engineering, energy, computer sciences, data, economic, and operation research fields.

Vahid Vahidinasab, Ph.D., is the Director of NTU-GridLab and a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). He has over 18 years of experience as a power and energy systems researcher and academic and has worked on various interdisciplinary projects. Before joining NTU, Vahid held leading research, academic, and management roles at Newcastle University, Niroo (Electric Power) Research Institute, and Shahid Beheshti University. His research interests include the integration of sustainable energy systems, smart grids/microgrids operation and control, and the application of advanced optimization and machine learning algorithms in these studies. He has published numerous books, book chapters, journal, and conference articles and serves on the editorial board of several international journals.
Behnam Mohammadi-Ivatloo, Ph.D., is a Professor at the School of Energy Systems at LUT University. He was previously a Senior Research Fellow at Aalborg University and a Professor at the University of Tabriz. Before joining the University of Tabriz, he was a research associate at the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment and Economy at the University of Calgary. He obtained MSc and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology. His main research interests are renewable energies, microgrid systems, and smart grids.
