Christian Ethic Moral Responsibility in Marriage

Scientific Essay from the year 2019 in the subject Theology - Miscellaneous, , course: Moral Theology, language: English, abstract: This works discusses the Christian Ethic Moral Responsibility in Marriage. From the perspective of Canon Law, the term ''marriage'' designates both the act by which a man and a woman mutually give and accept each other permanently and exclusively, with the right to each other's bodies regarding the acts ordered to procreation; and the permanent society that arises between them as a consequence of the earlier commitment. Marriage is the matrimonial covenant by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, and which is ordered by its nature to the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring. The matrimonial consent is an act of the will by which a man and a woman mutually give and accept each other through an irrevocable covenant in order to establish marriage. From a valid marriage, it arises between the spouses a bond which by its nature is perpetual and exclusive. Moreover, a special sacrament strengthens and consecrates the spouses in a Christian marriage for the duties and dignity of their state. What can be the moral responsibility in the marriage state? This work therefore shall be scheduled as follows: first we shall talk about the time of engagement, secondly we shall discover the nature of marriage and thereafter we shall talk about marital love and conjugal intimacy.
